Points needed in 2026: all qualified applicants

Points needed in 2025: all qualified applicants

This is how the point score is calculated.

When can you apply?

The application portal opens February 1. The deadline to apply is April 15. You apply via Søknadsweb.

Rules for ranking applicants

You are ranked on the basis of all your grades in the admission criteria. If you have more than 180 ECTS, the grades that give you the best score are taken into account. Grades from courses that cover the specialization requirements are always counted. In the event of applicants have the same point score, there will be a draw to determine who will be ranked first.

The two highest ranked applicants in the ranking list will be exempted from payment of university fees in Rome (per 2025: approximately €3.200,00 in total for the two-year program). All students admitted by NIH must pay the IT Services and Regional Tax DSU and virtual duty stamp (total € 156,00) each year.

Changes to the ranking rules starting from the 2027/28 admission cycle:

If you are qualified on the basis of your bachelor’s degree, this will automatically be the basis for your admission and ranking. Courses taken outside the degree will only be included if they are necessary to make you academically qualified for the program.
