To be eligible for admission, you must declare that you have sufficient funds to cover your living expenses in Norway during your period of study. These funds are in addition to the NIH tuition fees. Your application will not be processed unless you have filled out and uploaded the forms listed above by the deadline.
Language requirements
If you wish to apply to one of our Norwegian language programs, you must have a documented B2 level of Norwegian. For our English language programs, you must have either:
- completed English from Norwegian upper secondary school (140 hours)
- have recently taken an accepted English language test
- completed one year upper secondary school in an English speaking country
- a university degree in English language or English literature that are equivalent to minimum 60 ECTS

Please read the Norwegian Universities and Colleges Admission Service's (NUCAS/Samordna opptak) website for a full list of how to meet the English and/or Norwegian language requirements.
Some applicants are exempted from the English language requirement. To see if you are exempted from an English test, you may select your country from the Higher Education Entrance Qualification (GSU) list and read about the English requirements. Please note that the education requirements on the GSU list are not valid for the Master's admission at NIH.
