Online students
You apply for "Online courses in Sport Sciences" in Søknadsweb and document general study competence or experience-based qualification. Applicants that receive an offer of admission must reply "yes" in order to be admitted as a student. Once you are registered as a student you must register for the online courses you wish to take the upcoming semester in Studentweb (online portal).
Your student status is granted for four semesters and require semester registration. At the beginning of each semester, you should select the courses you want to take.
- You can take one or more course in the order you prefer. Be aware that not all courses are offered every semester.
- You cannot transfer partially completed courses (work requirements) to the following semester. If you sign up for a course for a second time, you must retake the entire course.
- Learning resources are ready for you in a digital learning platform when the semester starts.
- The courses can be included in a bachelor's degree. Be aware that it is the home institution that decides whether the courses may be included as part of a degree, and that it is the student’s responsibility to inquire with their study coordinator prior to courses beginning. Alternatively, the student may apply for credit transfer in later studies.
Semester fee
The semester fee is a mandatory fee to the student welfare organisation SiO. You find the invoice in Studentweb. If you pay a semester fee to another Norwegian college/university in Norway, you are exempt from this at our institution. Documentation of the paid fee must be sent to us via a online form (in Norwegian) within the deadline for payment of the semester fee. Be aware that you still have to pay the fee for use of digital articles and copying (200 NOK) to NIH.
Tuition fee
Students with citizenship from countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland, must pay tuition fees to NIH, unless they qualify for an exemption. If this applies to you, you will find more information on our web site.
International exchange students from partner institutions are exempt from the tuition fee.
