Course information
Information
Certain courses have limited availability. All courses at NIH are open for enrollment to external PhD candidates as well, but PhD candidates at NIH have first priority. Mandatory training is defined in the study plan:
- Study plan for PhD candidates admitted before August 2020
- Study plan for PhD candidates admitted after August 2020
External PhD courses
PhD courses from other institutions can be included in the elective part of the training program. The courses should be approved by KFU before the course starts and documented with content, program and syllabus, course certificate, and transcript of grades. Applications for approval should be sent to KFU, attention Mari Corell. It is not possible to apply for course approval before you are formally admitted to the doctoral program.
University of Agder has put together a webpage with information about PhD courses in sport sciences in Scandinavia, see PhD Courses in Sport Sciences Available in Scandinavia
Schedule
You will find the schedule for your course in TimeEdit. Search for your course here.
Candidates admitted before August 2020 must, during the first year of study, pass In depth academic and methodological study.
Evaluation of internal doctoral courses
As part of the quality assurance process at NIH, everyone who has completed a doctoral course at NIH is asked to participate in an evaluation of this course. The surveys are anonymous. The results of the surveys are presented at an overall level to KFU. Feedback from doctoral students is important to ensure the best possible doctoral program.
