Background and experience
Kristian Magnetun Merødningen is a PhD candidate at the Department of Sport and Social Sciences (IIS). In his doctoral project, he investigates the historical development of children's rights in sport and the provisions on children's sports in Norwegian Sports Confederation's (NIF), with a specific focus on perceptions of children and the controversies that have arisen.
Kristian completed his master's degree in Culture and Society at Norwegian school of sport sciences (NIH) in 2025 and later worked as a research assistant at NIH.
