Mad GoatsWe provide sea kayak & SUP tours, rentals and courses in Bjørvika near the Oslo Opera House. We also arrange two-day sea & river kayaking courses in Lysaker and Hønefoss. We offer paddle activities for group events such as team building and bachelor parties. Amongst other things, we are known for the fantastic paddle trip down the Akerselva river, right through the heart of Oslo. Few things match the feeling of freedom you have on the water. Operations Manager
As an operations manager you will oversee the daily operation of the business. Your daily work will usually consist of admin-related tasks (such as emails, checking bookings, basic marketing on Instagram/Facebook, attending meetings etc.) in the morning. In the afternoon you will organize the daily activities, logistics, checking the gear, driving, organizing the guides and/or guiding yourself. Your average workday will be 9-10 hours.
Your tasks will be:
Administration; employment, insurance, customer-support, website & booking system etc.
Logistics, vehicles, guides and gear.
Marketing (with assistance from marketing agency)
Guiding tours and courses
Banking & accounting (with assistance from our accountant)
Repair & maintenance
Various other tasks
We expect you have:
Valid driving license class B
Fluent in a Scandinavian language and English
Completed at least 1 year of relevant outdoor/tourism education
Punctual, reliable and hard working
It’s an advantage if you have:

Confidence in leading people
Good organizing skills
Strong independence
Good interpersonal skills / work well with others (team-player)
Good computer skills (know how to use Microsoft Office)
Experience in guiding/teaching kayaking
Experience from the outdoor/tourism business
Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Customer focused and service minded
Always looking for improvement and high quality
What you can expect:
As the operations manager in Mad Goats AS you can expect to work an average of 50-60 hours per week in the high season (April – October). You will get a competitive salary and an end of the year bonus, based on company profits. In the off-season you can work part-time while traveling or working other jobs/studies (November-March), this is optional. You will be part of our well-established business and seasoned guide-team in Oslo and can benefit from our multiple outfitter deals. For those who are willing to commit multiple years, will be awarded our guide training program and eventually invited as a partner in the business and our other projects.
