Mad GoatsWe provide sea kayak & SUP tours, rentals and courses in Bjørvika near the Oslo Opera House. We also arrange two-day sea & river kayaking courses in Lysaker and Hønefoss. We offer paddle activities for group events such as team building and bachelor parties. Amongst other things, we are known for the fantastic paddle trip down the Akerselva river, right through the heart of Oslo. Few things match the feeling of freedom you have on the water. We want you to experience this!

Guide for Mad Goats & Nordic Paddling
As a guide for Mad Goats you will be part of a well-established business with a professional guide team. Your daily work will be guiding our day tours (kayak & SUP) and teaching on our NPF Introkurs and grunnkurs. You will have to prepare for each tour/course and help with logistics organized by the operations manager. Your average workday will be of 8-10 hours and can vary a lot depending on season, weather, customers etc. You will also be teaching courses for our partner-company Nordic Paddling.
Your tasks will be:
Guiding our day-tours: Akerselva Kayak & SUP, Oslo Fjord tours (kayak)
Teaching our introkurs and grunnkurs
Assisting with logistics
Other tasks assigned by the operations manager (maintenance, repair etc.)
Develop yourself as a guide
We expect you have:
Fluent in a Scandinavian language and English
NPF Aktivitetsleder
Valid first aid certificate
It’s an advantage if you have:
Valid driving license class B
Confidence in leading people
Good interpersonal skills / work well with others (team-player)

Experience in guiding/teaching kayaking
Experience from the outdoor/tourism business
Customer focused and service minded
Punctual, reliable and hard working
What you can expect:
As a guide for Mad Goats AS you can expect to work 30-40 hours per week. You will get an industry competitive salary, paid per tour/course. You will be part of our well-established business and seasoned guide-team in Oslo and can benefit from our multiple outfitter deals. For those who are willing to commit multiple years, will be awarded our guide training program.
