Paul's PhD research combines epidemiology and metabolomics to determine associations of lipoproteins with physical activity, cardiorespiratory fitness and adiposity.

Paul is a PhD student in the Department of Sports Medicine. A medical doctor, he graduated from Guy's, King's and St. Thomas' School of Medicine in 2013 and subsequently completed the South Thames Academic Foundation Programme; Paul's research utilised flow cytometry to phenotype monocytes in patients with critical limb ischaemia and control subjects. He also holds a first-class BSc (Hons) in Sports and Exercise Medicine from Queen Mary University of London.
Paul has published peer-reviewed research articles in exercise physiology, sports biomechanics and medical education.
