1. General

These terms and conditions constitute the basis for purchases relating to orders confirmed through acceptance of admission to a programme, course placement, or registration for an individual subject.

Where these terms and conditions require written communication, this requirement is deemed fulfilled through the use of email or letter.

3. Registration and Ordering

Information regarding the products and services to be provided by us is set out in the information letter sent by email together with the offer of admission and/or on our website when registering for courses, conferences, or individual subjects.

4. Prices

All prices include value-added tax (VAT) where applicable. Tuition fees and any additional costs are specified on the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences' website.

5. Validity of the Price Agreement

The stated prices are binding on both parties. However, the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences reserves the right to adjust prices due to increased taxes, duties, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control that affect costs.

6. Payment

Any student enrolled in a programme or an individual subject is obliged to pay the tuition fee for the entire programme or subject. The semester fee must be paid in addition to the tuition fee.

Payment information regarding tuition fees will be sent by email following admission. The purchase price must be paid in accordance with the payment deadlines specified in the email or, for courses and other activities, as stated in the registration system.

7. Amendments, Cancellation and Right of Withdrawal

Students and course participants have the right to withdraw from their agreement with NIH Continuing Education by submitting a completed withdrawal form within 14 days of accepting an offer of admission or a course place, usually done through the Søknadsweb (for study programmes) or the registration system (for courses and other activities).

For registration to individual study courses, a withdrawal period of 14 days applies from the stated deregistration deadline.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must contact us by one of the following means:

1. By post to: Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, P.O. Box 4014 Ullevål Stadion, 0864 Oslo, Norway

2. By email to: nihvidere@nih.no

3. By completing and submitting the online withdrawal form

You must clearly communicate your decision to withdraw from the agreement.

The student or course participant bears the burden of proof that the right of withdrawal was exercised within the applicable deadline.

It is not possible to make acceptance conditional upon receiving financial support from the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund (Lånekassen), NAV or any other financial support. The 14-day withdrawal period applies regardless of whether a student is subsequently denied such financial support.

Tuition fees already paid will not be refunded after the withdrawal period has expired.

Once you have accepted the offer of admission or course placement and the withdrawal period has expired, your acceptance is regarded as binding. This means that you remain obligated to complete payment in accordance with the payment plan specified for the programme, course, or activity.

8. Force Majeure

Events beyond the control of the parties, such as strikes, lockouts, fire, or similar circumstances that make it impossible to fulfil obligations under this agreement, shall entitle either party to terminate the agreement without liability for damages.

9. Personal Data

As a general rule, we only process personal data that you provide to us and which is necessary for us to fulfil our obligations towards you.

10. NIH Online Withdrawal Form

You may complete and submit the Withdrawal Form directly online.
