Purpose

This project aims to gain a more profound understanding of peer mentorship and how it affects mentees, peer mentors, and caregivers participating in a peer mentorship activity camp for individuals with acquired brain injury.

Project Description

This is a qualitative project where we will observe and interview mentees, peer mentors, and caregivers participating in Brain Camp to explore their experiences of peer support and how it impacts self-esteem, motivation, activity, and participation.

We plan to conduct field observations at two camps and longitudinal interviews of the study participants.

The project will increase our knowledge of how peer mentorship in rehabilitation settings impacts individuals with acquired brain injury and caregivers.
