How to order books and articles

With no cost, students and staff can order articles and books the library doesn't have, in Oria.

When you have found a book or an article in Oria, you have to sign in to MY ACCOUNT with your NIH-username/password. Below the information about the document, you choose "Get it" and "Resource Sharing Request". Click "Request" at the bottom of the order form.

In the most commonly used databases at NIH, you'll find a Oria-icon. By clicking the icon you'll be directed to the order form in Oria:

No Oria-icon? You have to search Oria for the journal the article is published in.

NB! You search in our catalogue by default, and you can change to the catalogues of all Norwegian Universities if you get no results in our catalogue:

If you can't find the article/journal in Oria or a database, you can select "Can't find it?" in the top menu in Oria to get a blank order form where you can fill in the details and order the article:

On average it takes 2-3 days to get the article you ordered, and you'll get a text message or an email when you can pick it up in the shelf next to the self service computer in the library. Staff will find the articles in their post shelves.

On average it takes 4 days to get the book you ordered, and you'll get a text message or an email when you can pick up the book in the Library.
