The center involves four main partners: the Ministry of Culture, the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, Norwegian Confederation of Sports and Olympiatoppen



The establishment is made possible by basic funding from the Ministry of Culture. The grant is one reason support for the establishment and development of the center. 




Norwegian Confederation of Sports and Olympiatoppen are important partners. Research in children and youth sport contributes greatly valuable research used by NIF, several sports associations and Olympiatoppen.






The center is located at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, in close proximity to Department of Coaching and Psychology, Department of Culture and Society and the Section of Physical Performance. NIH helps with the necessary infrastructure, as well as safeguarding its function as an employer.


The Norwegian reseach centre of children and youth sports cooperates with several prosecutors in sports and business, in order to contribute to a better funding of further research activities.
