Availability of self-tests

High demand for at-home COVID-19 tests in Oslo has reduced their availability.

For a long time, it has been difficult to obtain self-tests in Oslo. Starting today [11 January], NIH will have access to a limited number of self-tests in the coming weeks.

The tests will no longer be given to staff and students as preventive measures, as we must follow the given criteria for distribution.

Criteria for distribution of self-tests

The self-tests should not be used for regular testing (as was the case before with preventive testing twice weekly), but only when symptomatic. Employees and students who have teaching, exams, experiments in the lab, etc. that require physical attendance are given priority.

The self-tests are available for those students and staff who are experiencing symptoms and should take the test to clarify whether or not they are able to physically attend school.
