Mari Kristin Sisjord is professor in sport sociology at the Section for Culture and Society, NIH. She has a Cand. Mag. degree from the University of Oslo, Master and PhD degree from NIH. Sisjord was the dean at the Institute for social sciences, NIH, 1999-2001, and she has been a member of NIHs executive board for two periods (2009-2017).
She has been a member of the International Sociology of Sport Association's executive board for two periods (1996-2003), the last period as vice President.
