Melina Meyer Magulas works as a PhD candidate in physical activity and health at The Department of Sport Medicine. Her research focuses on the effects of breaking sedentary time with physical activity on glucose- and lipid metabolism, and whether physical activity pattern and intensity can modify cardiometabolic risk factors.
Magulas completed her master’s degree in exercise physiology and sports biomechanics at The Department for Physical Performance at NSSC in 2014. Magulas has previously worked as head of laboratory for physiological testing at Magnat Center in Oslo, and has worked several years as a physical trainer, in addition to her commitment as lecturer in health and sports performance related subjects in both public and private sector.
