Exercise physiology, muscle-tendon physiology, biomechanics, neuromuscular fatigue and recovery, adaptation to training, sports medicine, sports nutrition, testing and training of elite athletes.
Teaching: Exercise science and physiology, adaptation to training, and athletics (track and field). Course responsibility for Individual Sports (IDR113).
Associate Professor of Exercise Physiology at the Norwegian School of Sports Sciences. Trained as a Physiotherapist: 1999-2001. PhD period: 2004-2009, investigating recovery and adaptation to exercise-induced muscle damage. Post-doctoral period: 2009-2013, researching the interaction of antioxidant supplementation and training. Former leader (2013-2019) now consultant at the Norwegian Olympic Training Center, Department of Strength and Power (20% position).
