Program director for the bachelor education of Coaching and Sport Psychology
Anne Marte works 100% as a professor of sport psychology at the Department of Sports and Social Sciences, and 20% at the Department of Sport Psychology at the Norwegian Olympic Training Center (Olympiatoppen).
The main focus of her research is motivational factors related to coping with stress in extreme situations. Another important area is the importance of the coach-athlete relationship for performance, as well as mental health in elite sports among athletes and coaches. This is closely linked to her daily contact and guidance of elite level practitioners. She has worked extensively with mental processes in ball games, especially football and handball, but also individual sports such as snowboard and freeskiing, orienteering and rifle shooting
