Roald Bahr awarded the Prince Philip Medal

Professor Roald Bahr of NSSS is awarded the Prince Philip Medal in Sports Medicine.

The Medal is awarded by The Institute of Sports and Exercise Medicine on the following basis: ”for an outstandingly significant and original contribution to the advancement of medical knowledge or technique in Sports and Exercise Medicine. This medal will be awarded to a doctor who, in the opinion of the Board has made an outstandingly significant and original national or international contribution to the advancement of knowledge in Sports and Exercise Medicine.”
 
The award is presented to Roald Bahr by His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh at Buckingham Palace, October 15th 2008. Prince Philip is Honorary Fellow of the ISEM.
 
The award is a great honour to professor Roald Bahr as well as the research department that he heads at NSS.
