The submission process is now closed.
You may submit abstracts for oral or poster presentation at the conference, or for presenting at the poolside demonstrations (for poolside demonstrations please contact us by e-mail 1 week advance of submitting abstracts) . Authors may also additionally submit original research papers in full text to be published in the book of proceedings.

1. Each abstract and fulltext paper will be finally accepted when the first/presenting author has registered and paid the conference fee. The registration will open after the sumbission is closed. You need not to register before submitting your paper.
(Do NOT submit an abstract if you do not plan to register fully for the conference. Conference invitations for Visa applications will not be issued on the basis of abstract submissions, but on the basis on a completed registration).
2. Each first/presenting author is limited to one oral presentation.
3. Submission of several abstacts and full text papers is possible. The cost of two abstracts (including its corresponding full text paper) is covered by the conference fee. Submission of more than two abstracts as first author will require the payment of the abstract handling fee of 50 Euros for each additional abstract.
4. There is no limit to the number of co-authorships.
BMS2010 will accept papers in the research areas listed on the page topics. Generally the disciplines are swimming and water activities research, from biomechanics, physiology, exercise training, motor learning, pedagogics and psychology (view all topics). Each abstract and full text paper have to be submitted in one of several categories:
Abstract categories
1. Biomechanics
2. Physiology
3. Bioenergetics
4. Training
5. Medical sciences
6. Educational science, advice and biofeedback
7. Social sciences
8. Aquatic rehabilitation, leisure and safety issues
9. Other
The papers submitted will be reviewed by a scientific committee. This will ensure a peer reviewed process of the papers.

Submit Abstract:
The deadline has passed.
Be prepared to type or paste in your abstract, title, authors, 5 keywords, abstract category, and presentation preference (oral or poster). If you are eligible to the ARCHIMEDES AWARD contest (young inverstigator award), choose this option during the submission, and ensure that you fulfill the Archimedes Award rules.
After submission, you will recieve an e-mail for confirmation of the process. You are allowed to log in to change your abstract.
Submit Full Text Papers:
1. First submit your abstract using the link above. Title and authors of abstract and full text papers must be identical. Write down the UserId nr you recieve during the abstract submission, this number will ensure the right review process of your fulltext paper.
2. Prepare your file with your fulltex tpaper in rich text format or MS word format. Filename must be "UserIdNr_FirstAuthor_Four_Words_of_Title.rtf" (e.g. "1541521_Kjendlie_How_To_submit_Paper.rtf")
3. E-mail the manuscript to bms2010@nih.no with the following content:
- subject heading of e-mail: same as filename
- Five lines of information in the body of the e-mail (each on a separate line):
UserIdNr: 7digits (from the abstract submission confirmation e-mail)
Title: Your title goes here
Corresponding Author: LastName, FirstName
Email: nn=at=dot.com
Abstract Category: Identical to your submitted abstract
- Additional comments for the scientific committee must be written after these five lines.
4. Observe that full text paper submission will not generate an automatic verification of the sendt e-mail. We do this manually, please allow us some time to respond, especially right before deadline.
5. Do not forget to ATTACH your file!! Please chack your e-mail frequently in the weeks following submission deadline.
