WELCOME TO OSLO - NORWAY
Welcome to the 8th International Congress on Strength Training (ICST 2012)
On behalf of the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences, we are happy to welcome you to the 8th International Congress on Strength Training to be held in Oslo, Norway between 24th-28th October 2012. The Norwegian School of Sport Science is honored to organize this important event.
The Norwegian School of Sport Science plays a benchmarking role in the development of sport science, and is located in Oslo, the capital of Norway. Oslo was founded in 1050 by Harald Hardraade. Recent archaeological studies have proved settlement from about the year 1000. This makes Oslo the oldest of the Scandinavian capitals and the only Scandinavian capital with an urban settlement dating back to the Viking Ages.
Being a town of only half a million inhabitants, the centre of Oslo is small and compact and most hotels, meeting facilities, shopping areas, and entertainment are within walking distance.
