Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer was arranged in February 2016. What is the background of the event? How it is placed in Norwegian and international sports policy? How should it be managed? In what way will the youth be involved? How do you use social media? What will the effect be on the longer term?

Such questions were discussed at the seminar at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences

The seminar was for sport politicians, staff and volunteers in sport, students and journalists.

Those who signed up received book "The Youth Olympic Games: Context, management and impacts". Editors of the book are Dag Vidar Hanstad Milena M. Parent and Barrie Houlihan, and they bring researchers from around the world as contributors. Several of these presented their findings at the seminar.
