The study examine how it can be experienced living with a disability, and how it can be experienced participating in physical activity

Description

Through qualitative interviews with 20 adults who live with physical or visual disabilities the experience of participation in physical activity is being examined. How is it experienced living with a body and bodily capacities which in some ways differ from most other peoples’ bodily capacities and which on some situations gets in the way of peoples engagement with the world. What meaning do the participants find that physical activity have for their everyday life; and which positive and negative experiences do they find have influenced their relationship to physical activity and their level of participation in physical activity today?
