The School’s academic activities are divided between five Departments. In addition, NSSS is affiliated with several research centers, some of which reside within the NSSS buildings.
Department of Coaching and Psychology
The department’s area of academic competence is sport psychology, with activities centered on the disciplines of achievement psychology and health psychology, together with coaching.
Department of Physical EducationThe department is dealing with the subjects of physical education, adapted physical education, dance education and outdoor education both inside and outside school settings.
Department of Cultural and Social Studies
The department’s areas of academic competence are sport sociology, history of sport, philosophy of sport, sport management and to a certain extent physical activity and the disabled.
