Sport Management offers three courses in English during the fall semester. This course package has been available for our students for a few years now, and some of the former exchange students have shared their experiences with us.
For a detailed description of the different courses, see the course plans in the links below:
SPM321 Organization of International Sports (10 ECTS)
SPM325 Sporting events (10 ECTS)
SPM326 Volunteerism in sport (10 ECTS)
These courses are aimed to stimulate critical and analytical thinking for sport managers working in public as well as sports organizations. The courses build on courses in leadership, management and organizational theory in the second year at NSSS. Therefore, it is assumed that exchange students have taken equivalent courses, as well as having the motivation to conduct in-depth analysis of the management and organization of sporting events and sports organizations before entering the courses. Furthermore, students applying for the Sport Management courses should also be familiar with the major sport organizations and major sporting events.
Together, these three courses satisfy the demanded full-time workload for one semester. We strongly recommend that you take all three courses as a "package" instead of combining them with other courses taught in English, as this combination will be coordinated to avoid overlaps in the time table.
